Why the name? Tanoa is a Kava bowl used in a traditional Samoan ava ceremony. The significance of this cultural practice is to welcome honorable guests in to a village/family gathering for an important event. Tanoa represents what we do as physical therapists. It is hand carved and all it’s parts play an important role in carrying out its function. Our holistic approach is embedded in our name and we seek to encourage people to take charge of their health and well-being. Our mission is to be the best at what we do to serve the people in our communities.
